You can use this for washing dishes and if you are using homemade soap the grey water can go into the garden because it doesn't contain all those nasty additives and sudsing agents. I ma...Just thought I'd offer a little feedback. I made liquid soap following your instructions and it turned out well. My husband and I both like it very much for using at the sink. However, I had to use TEN bars (3-4 oz. each) of homemade soap to get it thick enough to even consider liquid soap. It's still much thinner than storebought soap, but one pump is enough to give you a nice lather when washing. My only explanation for this is that homemade soap still has all its glycerine intact, whereas most storebought soap has been stripped of its glycerine. HTH anyone who tries it with homemade soap! :-)Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16852320721216631639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8046083858777525940.post-86111793666063011902011-08-08T21:55:15.563-07:002011-08-08T21:55:15.563-07:00I am loving this. Just some Dr. Bronner's Castille Soap and Jojoba oil along with things I have around the hosue. Knowing these skills is an excellent way to prepare even if it's just one step away from being dependent on the commercial soaps/shampoos. It's one step CLOSER to learning how to make these basic ingredients ourselves. I've seriously thought about trying to make my own lye from ash, but I'm a little hesitant. I may try it as a group project with my homesteading community so we put our brains together and perhaps do it safer. :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00564840073358020600noreply@blogger.com
