Carrie Underwood was on Ellen yesterday so I wanted to watch it to hear how her new marriage was going. I love her song "Mama's Song". It is about her marriage to the ice hockey player last summer.
"Mama, you taught me to do the right things and now you have to let your baby fly...He is good, so good and he treats your little girl the way a real man should..."
I love it! So I sat anxiously awaiting to hear how wonderful her marriage was and how much she loved him...I was greatly disappointed.
Right off the bat, she started talking about all his stuff that had to fit into her home. She made him sound like a pack rat who never throws anything away. She didn't say one positive thing about him. She made the comment that he tells her that she is "controlling and nagging". I would love to talk to her.
Stop controlling and nagging him, Carrie. It will lead to the destruction of your marriage.
Accept him as he is with all his faults. He is a good man.
Appreciate everything good about him.
Speak highly of him to everyone you meet. NEVER put him down in public.
Have fun in marriage! Treat him like he's your best friend.
Show the world that famous people who love Jesus can have awesome marriages."
Do any of you out there know her so we can get this important message to her?
And the wife see that she reverence her husband.
