Battling Sin In Your Life

Our pastor had trouble with a raccoon.  Every morning he would wake up and trash would be all over the place.  He finally decided to put the trash on his balcony.  Low and behold, the next morning he woke up and trash was everywhere. 
He then decided he would get a bat and go out at night and battle him.  The first night, the raccoon hissed and growled at him so he ran inside.  The next night he went out and showed that raccoon who was boss and started swinging at him.  He did that every night until the raccoon finally gave up.
This is how we must battle sin.  Never give up.  Don't let it get its way in your life.  Read Romans 6 and how many times it tells you that you are dead to sin and freed from sin and start believing it.  Confess your sin to others and ask them to hold you accountable.  Pray and memorize Scripture pertaining to your particular sin.
Sin is extremely destructive and takes away the peace and joy in your life.  It is a worthy battle to fight and one you can win!
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin,
but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:11

Sin's hold on us is tight...it can be so hard to break away from it. However, with Jesus, we have the strength and ability to overcome its grip! You are right...keep on battling and don't give up! We find victory through Him!

This encourages me because it is a long, hard battle we face. It's normal for a Christian to have many trials. The best of our lives will be heaven! Love & prayers, in Jesus, Cynthia

During you memorize how to sale beside those positions, you study how to like a lifestyle of cheer. You can aspire pro worker to contend heartache, or you can effort to appeal it on your hold.
