Whether they are married or looking for someone to date or marry, the characteristics that draw a man to a woman more than anything else is a joyful, thankful attitude. We are told numerous times in the Bible not to grumble or complain but to be thankful and rejoice.
Godliness with contentment is great gain. I was reading this one man's blog who wasn't a Christian. He dated many women. He said that the women he wanted to be around the most and enjoyed were the happy, content ones. The ones, no matter how beautiful they were, that complained and were unhappy, he wanted to flee from.
Even men who know nothing about the Bible and its clear command to be joyful and thankful are attracted to joyful, thankful women. They are a pleasure to be around and make life enjoyable for others.
Children who have joyful, thankful mothers are blessed. Their life is characterized by a life of peace and tranquility. When our marriage turned around, the one thing I heard Ken tell people over and over again that really impacted him was every time I walked into a room where he was, I would smile at him.
Work on being cheerful for a cheerful heart is good medicine. {Proverbs 17:22} Smile at the future. Remember that the joy of the Lord is your strength. In this way, you will have one happy husband or if you are single, you have a much better chance of attracting the right man to you.
