Building A Strong and Healthy Immune System!

A healthy immune system is vital to staying healthy.  I am so thankful that the Lord blessed us with an immune system that can fight disease. From my many years of studying health, this is what I believe makes a healthy immune system.

1) Eat a large raw, organic salad every day. Eat lots of food the way God created for us to eat it. Man cannot improve upon the food that God created.

2) Sleep at least five hours a night without raising your head off of your pillow. That is how long it takes for your adrenals to replenish themselves. If you wake up before five hours, just lay there and rest without lifting your head. This is very important!

3) Get some sunshine everyday. I know this is hard if you live in the northern states where you don't see the sun in months. You need to take Vitamin D daily then. If you live where it is sunny, get outside for at least 10 minutes without sunscreen, which is full of chemicals.

4) Get lots of fresh air. Keep your windows open as much as possible. Yes, if you live where it is cold, this will be difficult but whenever you have even a little bit of warmth out, open wide your windows and breath deeply.

5)  Get at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday. I love to walk 45 minutes everyday. I kill three birds with one stone...fresh air, sunshine, and exercise!

6)  Take at least one teaspoon of good air-dried sea salt a day. It helps the adrenals and digestion. Make sure it's not the junk salt at the store.  Dr. Marshall's pink salt is great or Real Salt at health food stores.

7) Take at least a half cup of good, organic yogurt or kefir everyday for the probiotics.  A healthy gut means a healthy immune system. If you are allergic to dairy, take a good probiotic supplement.

8) Drink good water...at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces of clean water {reverse osmosis or filtered, spring water is preferred}.  Add a lemon to one of the glasses of water each day. Lemon is very cleansing and alkalizing!

9) Clean with non-toxic cleaners...vinegar, baking soda, etc.  Chemicals weaken your immune system. For all-purpose cleaning, I use 1 cup vinegar, 1 cup hydrogen peroxide, 2 cups water and 10 drops lemon essential oil with a squirt of dish soap. It works great!

There you have it. It's my advice. No, I'm not a doctor, just someone who has studied nutrition a lot!

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you, whom you have received from God?
You are not your own;  you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor God with your body.
