Amazing Homemade Lotion

Awwww!!!  It's back!  I ran out of my homemade hand and body lotion {recipe HERE} while I was so sick and nothing can compare with it.  The skin on my chest is bumpy and rough from all the sunbathing I did when I was younger.  When I use my homemade lotion, my skin becomes smooth and soft.  When I ran out of it and had to use store bought lotion, it got rough again.  I don't know what it is about it but it is the greatest!  I even started using it on my face!

I once gave it to a friend and she asked if she could buy it from me she liked it so much.  It makes a great gift.  The Plumeria scent from Brambleberry is my favorite.  You can buy some of the supplies from health food stores, Brambleberry,  or ebay.  So good!  I highly recommend you try making it!

If you want a face and body lotion that is completely chemical free made of  coconut oil, aloe vera, and herbs go HERE. I made it once for my sister and now this is the only thing she wants for her birthday. It has no preservatives in it at all and lasts a long, long time. It has never gone bad on me!

Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment
made from pure nard,
and anointed the feet of Jesus
and wiped his feet with her hair.
The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
John 12:3

I don't see a recipe here or am I missing something? Is the scent necessary for the lotion? I can always use a good lotion, my skin is sensitive and it is hard to find ones that work for me.

Just click on the words "homemade hand and body lotion" in the first line of the post and it will take you to the recipe and directions!
Lori, someone at the original link asked if you have calculated the cost of 16 oz of lotion. I'd be interested to know this, too.

I bought all of my stuff years ago. It lasts for a very long time and it depends on where you buy your products. I am sorry I can't help you there.
This looks interesting. I really want to try it. I think it may be an excellent gift idea also. Thanks.
I'd love to try this!
I will absolutely try this...

That is so nice of you to share the recipe. I love the scent if Brambleberry's plumeria. I bet it would really make my rough hands feel better.
Rod's mum became fascinated with homemade lotions about 10 years befor e she died. They are not hard to create, and can really save one a lot of money!!
Sounds great - I have never made hand made lotion before! :)
nice idea :) plumeria is such a pretty word, too!
What a fabulous idea!
This looks great! I need to start making my own lotion to avoid the chemicals in store bought! I would love to have you share this on The HomeAcre Hop! http://www.theselfsufficienthomeacre.com/2013/01/...
my goodness that is quite the recipe! :)
Sounds like I need to buy some of this stuff. I have the driest skin ever.

=)
Do you know of anyone who makes it for sale? I am not big on making it myself.

Thanks.

No, I don't but it is pretty easy to make!
I make some of my own body products like lip balm, scrubs, and a lotion I use on my face everyday. I put aloe vera gel in that.
If this helps the rough skin on your chest, I am sooooo IN!

I have that exact same problem.

I'm going over there right now to see what I need!

Thanks for this information! I am going to give it a try!

A++++
Can one use a butter other than shea?I don't like to use shea, it seems to get so grainy in my lotions.
