Slowing Down A Bit

It is never good news when you go to pick up the results of your MRI and the radiologist comes out and tells you he is sorry.  I had a meningioma {tumor} in my pituitary region nine years ago.  When the neurosurgeon came to me after the surgery, he told me he had never seen anything like it.  There are only a few recorded ever.
He told me I would have to have an MRI every five years but the recurrence is only 10%.  Last May, I thought I inflamed my cranial nerve in my right temple from eating a lot of carrots.  Today, I found out my tumor has returned.  It is benign but dangerous.  Once it fills up the space where my pituitary is, my body begins shutting down.
This time, however, I know I just need to eat a massive amounts of salt and drink a tiny bit of water.  My dad, a retired doctor, is in the process of finding a neurosurgeon who has done a lot of these types of surgeries.  The one I had nine years ago is retired.
I was going to stop publishing posts but Cassi encouraged me to continue doing so as long as I could since I love it so much and it is a wonderful distraction from the pain and fear.  I have MANY posts already written.  Anytime I am feeling okay, I write.
So I will continue to publish posts and keep you updated on my health and when surgery will be...hopefully sooner rather than later now that I know my health will continue to deteriorate until I get this tumor out.
Thank you so much for your love and prayers.  It is a huge blessing in my life.
Love, Lori

Praying, Lori! You are a blessing to many.
Lori, there are so many, many who will pray, not only for your healing but for your peace regarding this newest opportunity to rest in HIM. He has promised never to forsake us or leave us, and He will not. I am thankful for your faith in the One who orders our steps and loves us more than we can ever comprehend. I am your friend in Christ, and I give thanks for you!
You have been such a positive influence on my life.

Love and prayers, dear!

Praying
Lori,
You have been doing a very important work for our time in teaching what is right according to the Scripture and "teaching the younger women (and older ones too :) ) how to love their husbands and love their children." I appreciate the effort and time you invest. You are a constant encouragement to do what is good and right according to the Scripture.
I am praying for you and your complete healing.

You are in my prayers, Lori. I may not always agree with you, but I respect your opinion.

Read Philippians 4:6 and 7 out of the New Living Translation i know it will bless you, as much it has me these past few weeks. I may not have a brain tumor, but I have dealing with a compressed C7/C8 nerve. I'm in physical therapy, and it's healing a lot, but still some weakness and pain.

I enjoy reading your posts. And if they are a good distraction for you, then I'm sure I, along with the community of your followers, will look forward to reading. Please know that you will be in my prayers daily.... praying for the pain to subside, for your dad to find the best neurosurgeon possible and for you to manage your symptoms in the meantime. God is always using us! You are blessed that He uses you alot!!! :) We will all learn something from your journey. God, who is faithful, will see you through and be with you through it all.

So sorry, Lori. I'll be praying for miracle healing in Jesus name! I also wanted to suggest Dr Ben Carson, a Christian neurosurgeon. If he can't do it because of schedule, I'll bet he knows who you could get in your area. You can contact Dr. Carson at www.carsonscholars.org. Blessings, Lori, and I ask God to comfort, give strength and courage to you and your family.
I wish you a good recovery. I'm sorry this happened.
I think all of us that read your blog feel that you are our sister in Christ. Know that you have lots of family out here lifting you up daily in prayer. It's definitely not easy, but as you know we are to give thanks to God in all things. I have dealt with some extreme pain through my life. I try to remember to use it for His greater honor and glory. Uniting it to the Cross of Christ. I know you will too.
Love You Sis!
Lori,

I am going to commit to pray for you and your family everyday. Thank you for continuing to write and keep us updated. I know I don't know you in person but you have a special place in my heart. I am also going to put you on some prayer lists with some great prayer warriors:). May you find Jesus' miracles everyday of this journey. Love you! Victoria Wojtowicz

I have just recently found your blog (this year) and it is such an encouragement to me as a wife and mother to 3 young boys. I'm so sorry you are going through this, but I'm glad you are continuing to write. I'll also be praying for you and your family. God bless you, Lori.
