My Cute Niece And Daughter

Alisa and I  shook hands before we were married and proudly proclaimed that we would both have four children.  Well, I was the only one who held my end of the deal. Thankfully,  I have Cassi.  She is my fourth.  We would have loved having more children, but it was not meant to be.

Alisa quit at three.  They felt that was enough.   Both of our daughters are not married yet.  {Sorry, boys, my daughter on the right is already married!}

They have busy, active lives.  Ali went to Bible school in Germany and then culinary school in Manhattan.  Cassi is working towards getting her teaching credential.

They both love Jesus.  They go to church and bible studies consistently.  They both live at home.  Ali cooks up a storm for her parents as often as possible.  Cassi bakes bread and yummy, healthy treats for us.   They are preparing to be very good help meets.

You would all love them.  They smile and laugh a lot.  They want manly men.  Men who will pay for their meals and work hard.  Men who won't mind if they stay home and raise babies.  Men who will protect them.

So if you have a godly son like that, just send me a picture with a resume and I will forward it to them...No, they would hate me for doing that! :) {Well, maybe they wouldn't...} They know God will send His perfect pick for them in His perfect timing and in His perfect will for their lives, because that is what they are seeking.  In the mean time, they are sure enjoying life.

Beautiful girls, inside and out. The kind of girl I pray for for my son, but he's only 4 right now :) God will bring them the right Godly men in the right time.
Sounds like you have wonderful girls! I have a wonderful son that I pray will meet the right girl also. I wish we lived closer! I would send his resume! :) I know God has the perfect one for him just as sure he does for yours. We live in Kansas so I have a feeling they are to far apart. :(

God bless.

What a wonderful tribute to your nieces. I am blessed to have raised 4 sons. God did not give us any daughters but we now have 2 wonderful "daughers in Love". When the boys were little, we prayed for their future wives to be that God would protect them from abuse and harm. That they would be followers of Christ. We taught the boys, (who are now 35, 33, 31and 25), to respect themselves and respect women. My husband was an excellent roll model to them to emulate. He always treated me with the most utmost respect.
Ladies to you who have boys. Please teach them how to cook and clean up for themselves. To expect them to only date women who respect themselves with modesty. You will be so thankful that you took time. Trust me, your future daughters in love will thank you.! MIne have!
Lori,
I was just curious because you mentioned number of chldren in this post, do you think that biblical principals suggest that we should leave family size up to the Lord and therefore refrain from birth control methods and allow Him to give us children when He sees fit? I believe this is referred to as Quiverfull in some Christian circles. I would love to hear your take on it. Just curious, thank you.

I would love to hear your take on birth contral/family planning methods too! We are not quiverfull, but my husband and I strongly do not agree with birth control because of the abortificiant part of the pill/iud/patch. Interested in hearing your opinion on this!
If the pill is taken correctly, same time everyday, no misses etc. The egg will not be released. It's when the pill is missed the window is open for the egg to be released. I have a blood disorder and I'm unable to take the pill/or patch but have done extensive research on it. I've known women who have been on the pill become pregnant, and carry to term as well as w/the IUD.

Also, there are MANY times an egg and sperm unite and create a life but your own body aborts it, before you are even aware of it. This can be as simple as an infection.
Fran and Brit,

I wrote about birth control here ~ http://lorialexander.blogspot.com/2011/03/do-you-...

Let me know if that answers your questions!

Oooo, Ooooo I have one of thos boys!

He is only 19 though, so, maybe thats too young to introduce

He is very handsome (objectively, not parent glasses distortion), loves God, serious about life, ambitious studying for Bachelor in Nursing as he wants to work at Le Bonner childrens hospital in Memphis, altruistic, and plays a MEAN acoustic guitar
