The Power Of Raw Food

A study proved that smokers who ate a lot of raw foods have clear lungs. A doctor told a patient who had cancer that eating a lot of raw foods has the same power to heal as radiation does without the side effects. The cancer society says you should have many servings of fruits and vegetables a day.

God must know what He is doing. He is the one who created raw food. It is full of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. Many diseases have been cured by living on a lot of raw foods. It makes for a stronger immune system which fights disease.

My mom always fed us a lot of fruits and vegetables way before it was in style. She drove 1/2 hour each way to an organic store to get cases of apples, oranges, and vegetables. She knew the power of raw foods way back then. It cured her of her colitis which  doctors still say there is no cure. Drugs and surgery can't cure colitis, but raw foods can cure it.

All of my children like fruits and vegetables because they were raised eating a lot of them.  Raise them to eat healthy and when they are grown up, they will eat healthy. Raise them to eat lots of junk food and when they are grown up, they will eat a lot of junk food.

My children weren't allowed to be picky eaters. One of my daughters would literally sit at the table every night for hours until she ate her salad. Now at 22 years old, she has a huge salad every day because she loves it. My children would have starved to death if they didn't like healthy food!

I was just watching the Today Show with Hoda and Kathie Lee and they interviewed a lady that was diagnosed with MS and didn't want to go the medical route. She went on all raw foods, herbs, exercise, and is feeling wonderful! This is a testimony to the power of raw foods.

Start getting as much raw food into your diet as possible. It is one of the most important things you can do to fight cancer and other diseases. We all have cancer cells in our body but a healthy body keeps them under control.

Jill's Home Remedies is dedicated to finding natural solutions to whatever ails you. It is better to allow your body to heal itself with good foods and herbs before trying drugs and surgery. There is definitely a place for those things, but usually they have little success in chronic conditions.

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all  the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat

I had the following interview on my blog. I have gotten so much raw into my diet since I followed these books. http://www.everydayruralty.com/2011/12/interview-...
This was an interesting post. I think Hoda and Kathie Lee are hilarious, but as I am in New Zealand I am only able to watch the excerpts that are displayed on the Today Show site, and I don't think this one was. I might have to go back and have another look! :)
LOVE this Lori! I will share on FB...I just made a raw veggie salad for Roomag. You inspired me just now! Thank you!
Just ask my son, he's a fruit-aholic! :)
Oh my !!!! I love this post and the site you mentioned. I had to start a detox juice fast this week because I SOOOO over did it over the holidays that I made myself seriously sick.

This post has encouraged and convicted me to stay the course and not give up.

You are right about the kid thing. All my kids eat a variety of foods because I made them eat them growing up. My Mother was ahead of her time as well and I grew up eating spinach and crab quiches and a lot of other vegetarian meals. We ate a lot of fish also. I was the kid at the table pushing peas into my napkin.....but now I am a health coach. :)
I try to eat my fruits and veggies raw whenever possible. I feel much better when I do, and sleep better too. My son has Autism and also has major food texture issues. This does not stop me from sneaking in fruits and veggies whenever and however I can.

I am definitely going to check out the blog you posted, so thanks!
We eat alot of raw too! Have you read Eat to LIve or Nourishing Traditions? Good resources.

I love Nourishing Traditions! I haven't read Eat To LIve but after being sick and in pain for so long, I studied everything I could about getting healthy.
I just posted about this yesterday! There are some great documentaries you should watch about this. http://www.ablossominglife.blogspot.com/2012/01/f...
We LOVE raw foods too! My kids think a "snack" means a banana, fresh apple slices, or raw broccoli and carrot sticks. I love it. ;)

This year, I'm also making it a goal to consume more raw vegetable juice, such as carrots juiced in my Blendtec. So nutritious!

Thanks for linking up at Natural Living.
I love raw foods! This is such a great post!
I enjoy a glass of raw power everyday! I juice my raw power and I look and feel great. My grandmother always taught me about the power of raw food as a girl and now at 33 I am sure that I would make her proud!
