My Favorite Non~Toxic Hair Products

Since the majority of shampoos have many toxic chemicals that are not good for your health,  I am always looking for the most non-toxic shampoo I can find.  Everything we put onto our skin is absorbed into our body. We need to, therefore, pay close attention to the products we are using on our skin and hair.

I tried baking soda and vinegar for awhile but didn't like it at all. My sister has been using this method for years and loves it! Her hair always looks great but my hair always feels greasy and my head itched!

I have also tried bar shampoos in the past but had little success. The soap build-up got to be too much and my hair looked dirty.  I think they work best if you have soft water.  I have hard water and my hair feels heavy if I use it all the time.

Aubrey Organics is a great line of products. I love their shampoo and conditioner. Giovanni products are great also. I have using their hair spray for years!

These products work great for me. What are your favorite hair products?

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Have you tried Wen shampoo? I absolutely love it! You have to get used to the fact that it doesn't lather.

I do use it all the time and love it. Only, I use it for a conditioner, not a shampoo and I just put it on my ends!
I love Liggett's! It does a great job cleaning. I do a chase with John Master's shampoo, just a teaspoon is enough to clear any residue.
I also tried baking soda and vinegar and didn't like it. I was so disappointed because I wanted it to work! I'll check out your links!

Last week I wrote a post on our favourite natural products, if you're interested: http://whocanstandagainst.blogspot.ca/2013/06/fiv...
I like to use Dr. Bronner's.
Funny how everyone had different experiences with home made shampoo. Baking soda and vinegar is perfect for me. My hair looks and feels fantastic. Dr. Bronners leaves my hair greasy, flat and dull. Glad there are so many choices.

You realize that baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and vinegar (acetic acid) are both chemicals as well..
I love non toxic shampoos! Shielo has some of these shampoos. I also recommend their http://www.shielo.com/restoration-oil.html :)
I really like Yes to Carrots shampoo... in part because it's increasingly easy to find in stores. The EWG gives it a good score too.
