Not Loving Enough

The greatest command is to love God and love others.  When you are nagging and trying to control your husband, you are not loving him.  You are disobeying God.  When you are angry with him and give him the silent treatment, you are not loving your husband as you are commanded to do.

All sin is a result of not loving.  When husbands look at pornography, they are not loving their wives.  When children disobey their parents, they are not loving their parents or God.  When you are anxious and worry, you are not loving God for God said that if we love Him, we will keep His commandments and He tells us not to worry but to trust.

The song that says, "All we need is love, love.  Love is all we need" is correct.  For God is love and when we love, we fulfill all the commands.

Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law?  Jesus said unto him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is is like unto it, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." {Matthew 23:36-40}

Therefore, the more you learn to truly love, the less you will sin.  Scripture is filled with admonitions to love each other.  People will know we are Christians by the love we show them and others.  It should be the distinguishing characteristic of our lives....He/She loved much.

How can we accomplish this?  Know who you are in Christ.  You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.  You have everything you need for life and godliness.  You can love as Jesus loves for it is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives within you.
