Owe No Man Anything

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another. {Romans 13:8}  The Bible has a lot of good, practical advice.  All of the commands God gives us are for our good.

When my children were growing up, we always tried to have Scripture to back up any rules we gave them so when they left home, they knew they were rebelling against God and not us if they were disobedient.  We let them know that His rules are for our protection and good.

The King James Version says to owe no man anything.  I think that is a very good principle to live by.  It also says that the borrower is a a slave to the lender.  This is why our country is in so much trouble...We are slaves to others with the horrendous debt we owe.  I prefer to owe nobody anything, except to love them.  It feels better that way.  Debt is a burden.  Pay it off as soon as you can.

Laine was one of the first woman who taught me about being a wife and mother many years ago.  Her husband is a welder, has never made over $29,000 in a year, but they have paid off their home in Southern California.  She loves Jesus passionately.  I am linking a great post of hers that explains how they paid off their home.  It may help any of you who are struggling financially and give you hope.  God is BIG and He is our provider.  Trust in Him!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.
