If men don't have a defined role, they opt out.
{Dennis Prager}
Since feminism entered the picture, men don't have a defined role anymore anywhere except maybe football. It is one sport women can't play. Feminism has brought into society the idea that roles are equal in marriage and that anything a man can do, a woman can do.
Men and women are different, contrary to popular opinion. Women are more invested in children while men are more invested in the outside world of conquering and success. Even most wives would agree that the husband should be the primary bread winner.
Mr. Prager said that if he said any of these thoughts in the modern day college, it would be taken as if he were advocating returning to horse back riding instead of traveling in a car. That is how foreign the concept of male and female roles have become.
This makes me think that is the reason why so many men don't want to get married anymore. They have no defined role so they have opted out. In the past, the husbands and wives knew their roles and society was pretty good, not perfect but a lot better than it is now.
It is basically a mess. We are turning men into boys and it is causing havoc. Hopefully, the church will get back to modeling to society what a family looks like and how it runs. We need to be a bright light in this decaying society.
Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
I Corinthians 11:3
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.
