A Ring By Spring

"Mom, how did you do this?
I know the sacrifices you've had to make to marry dad."

"What are you talking about?"

"New York Publishing. Your whole career."

"That is just a job I had after college."

"But it was so exciting, glamorous!"

"But it wasn't what I wanted, Cara. This and you and your dad is what I wanted. I didn't give up anything. I got it...I would have sacrificed anything to be with your dad and never for an instance considered it a sacrifice."

"I get that you would have done anything for dad but you guys are
still crazy in love. What is the secret?"

"Well, for starters, we like each other. When I see your dad lying next to me or I hear him in here making breakfast, it makes me smile. It's another day and your dad is going to be a part of it and that makes me happy."

This is why I love Hallmark. Any channel that would have a conversation between a daughter and a mother like this is absolutely worth watching and my cup of tea!

Teach the young women to love their husbands.

Yes, Jilly. It was taken from a Hallmark Movie. Hallmark is a very family friendly channel which is rare these days!

I 100% agree. I am watching hallmark right now--when calls the heart. Today I went to see the movie GOD IS NOT DEAD. It was excellent.

I love When Calls The Heart. Someone else just said that movie you mentioned was great! Ken and I will have to go see it. I like to support the few good movies out there when they come around.
I wish it was easier to find all these great Hallmark movies. Unfortunately cable/satellite is one thing we can't afford!

This is probably one of the many sacrifices you have to make to be home full-time with your children, Tiffany. Totally worth it!

This is just beautiful. I especially like the mom's words about New York Publishing being just a job (aren't they all, really) and that "sacrificing" for her husband was as nothing. That's just what you do when you love someone. To love is to sacrifice.

I don't have TV, so this is all news to me, but thanks for sharing! :-)

There isn't much good on TV, Lady Virtue, but I do manage to find some and most of it is on the Hallmark Channel.
I am definitely going to have to check this one out. I love Hallmark Movies!
