Yes, I think so. When women start acting like women, men will start acting like men.
There has been a big to do over the cruise ship sinking and men not taking care of the women and children like they did on the Titanic. I blame that on feminism.
I don't recall a time in America's past where women were abused as feminists claim. The "rights" the feminists wanted were to vote and be able to act as men ~ hold the same jobs, wear the same clothes, etc. Women wanted to be like men. They didn't want to stay home and raise babies.
I don't think being home and raising babies is abusive. I'm sorry. I think that it is a wonderful thing.
So feminism has won. Women can be men. They can fight wars, they can have full time careers, they can choose to not marry and have children, they can sleep around, they can drink and smoke, they can be policemen, etc. I don't see this as being a great benefit to society. I know. I am extreme.
So why should men allow women to go onto lifeboats first on a sinking ship? Women have made it known loudly and clearly that they are equal to men in every way. Men believe it and now treat them as their equal.
Women use to act like women. They use to dress femininely, walk and talk like a woman, desire a home with a husband and babies. They wanted a man who would protect them and provide for them.
They don't want that anymore. I do...I like being a woman. I want a man that wants to protect me. I don't want to fight wars and kill robbers. I want to be home and make it warm and happy. I don't like what feminism has done to our country and to our men. It makes me sad...My precious husband would ABSOLUTELY make sure I was on a lifeboat before him.
But let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

We need to empower our daughters to protect themselves. Why should a strong able bodied woman be put on a life boat before anybody else? Women and men should work together and make sure that the kids, elderly, and disabled are taken care of first. I’m not weak. Anyone who doubts a woman’s ability to be a hero should read “Women at Ground Zero”. The book tells the stories of female firefighters, police officers, and everyday women who were heroes on that horrible day.

You can blame feminism, I'll blame the 'me' society that exists today.

I like being a woman, I love my children (adult) and home and husband, I love been protected by my husband, I love caring for my home – does this mean I should not work? And I don’t work because of any feminist ideology, I work because I do something I enjoy. Is this a crime?
Not everything is the fault of feminism at all – it is the fault of a self centred world who is only interested in “ME”.

...And here comes the ignorance, right on cue.
"I don't think being home and raising babies is abusive"
Whoever said it was?
"There has been a big to do over the cruise ship sinking and men not taking care of the women and children like they did on the Titanic."
The kids definitely should be taken care of. The women? Pronk no. A woman is an adult. Grown up. She has legs, and a brain. If you want to act like a child because you're afraid of responsibility (and from reading your blog, that's the picture I get) then you go and live your life like that. But don't expect everyone else to. And don't expect your husband to act like your father, because that's not fair on him.

"they can drink and smoke"
Nothing wrong with alcohol in moderation. Smoking had nothing to do with feminism. It has to do with a lack of thinking of consequences.
"I don't want to fight wars and kill robbers. I want to be home and make it warm and happy. "
That is your choice. Being a mother is a perfectly fine choice. But that's not what Sarah Jones down the road wants to do. Maybe she wants to do something different. And that's a perfectly fine choice, too.
Please stop expecting everyone to be like you.

Romans 12:1 speaks clearly to the issues of this post.
So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

It is a man's job to protect and care for women, they may be just as able in body and mind-- but that doesnt change the man's job. I totally agree with Lori-- feminism is the problem. Women dont want to be treated weak and smaller. Its all about ME, no one wants to be put down.

Everything isn't the fault of women. If there were cowardly men on that boat a few weeks ago, that is their fault, not the fault of the women.
Are men so weak that they change their behavior based on whether feminism is in vogue or not?
Besides, Italian culture is not known for it's feminist values. Have you ever been there?

I am not weak. Far from it. Most of the women I know are not weak. There is nothing in Scritpure that says women are weak. Where did that come from?

I enjoy your blog. I agree with much of what you said in your post, but Viola makes some good points, too. Before women won the right to vote, they were often treated as just another piece of property.
I don't want to dress like a man, or talk or walk like one either. But I do want to be treated with respect, and I don't think "the old days" were as rosy as we might imagine. TV and literature often give us the false idea that all husbands were kind and caring, but a lot of women were not so fortunate.
Anther point I'd like to make is that it's possible to nurture children, love a man, make the home a warm, safe place AND "kill robbers". I love being a wife and mother.I love my husband and kids fiercely, and would fight like a tiger to protect them if I had to! Let's not forget that some women are happily married , but perhaps caring for husbands who can't physically protect them.
In short, I don't always see eye to eye with you, but I like your message enough to keep coming back, so please keep writing!

And I hesitate to bring this up, but not all women choose not to marry and have children. Many MANY women feel it is their heart's desire to be protected by a Christ following husband and raise children. Sometimes, strong, Christian young women do not meet their future husbands until later in life, if at all. And, in reality, a significant minority of couples struggle with infertility. Yes, being a wife and mother is a natural, God approved, beautiful calling for a woman. But that does not mean there are not other Christ centered callings and paths for the lives of young Christian women.
