My favorite subject! Knowing who we are in Christ and what He accomplished on the cross should be a way of life for us if we believe in Him as our Savior. Easter is a wonderful time to celebrate His resurrection. However, it should be celebrated every day of our lives.
Because He lives, we live! Because He took upon Himself all of our sins and paid the penalty for them, we no longer live under guilt and condemnation. Because He conquered death, we get to live eternally with Him.
He is our Messiah, our Lord, our Savior, our Redeemer. The precious Lamb that took away the sins of the world. He paid the ultimate price for us, because He loved us. He has transferred us from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. He remembers our sin no more. We are cleansed and are now white as snow.
The tomb is empty. Death no longer has a hold on us. The moment we depart this life, we will be in the presence of our Savior. No more tears. No more dying. No more pain. Only peace and rest. Living every day in the presence of Jesus. Touching His nail scarred hands and feet. Praising Him for all that He has done.
Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live.
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost it's grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
In Christ Alone
Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live.
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost it's grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.
In Christ Alone
Now if we be dead with Christ,
we believe that we shall also live with Him:
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more:
death has no more dominion over Him,
For in that He died, He died unto sin once:
but in that He lives, He lives to God.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin,
but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:8-11
